Carbon Pile Voltage Regulators

Due to the obsolete nature of carbon pile type voltage regulators, the procurement of parts is growing more difficult every year to procure. This repair specification was created to permit the repair of existing sub-components of the carbon pile voltage regulator, and allow for the manufacturing of new sub-components, and the replacement of electrical subcomponents, which are equivalent or better in performance, with commonly available standard electrical components.

Reuse of these parts are permitted in accordance with the manufacturers service manual. The parts should be inspected to the repair specification data prior to reuse. These parts are only permitted to be reused in the components that they were originally installed in. Parts produced by S & T Aircraft are identified by the markings “FAA-RS”, “S & T” (matching the font of our logo), “CC2R737K”, and the part number, whenever possible, on the part.
