S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc., hereafter referred to as us, we or our, shall warrant that all accessories and components overhauled by us shall be free from defects in material (which is manufactured or produced by us) and workmanship under normal use and service, unless otherwise stated.
We do not expressly or impliedly warrant against defects in workmanship or materials of parts or materials furnished by the customer. In such case we only warrant that we will properly install such parts or materials so as not to degrade the performance of the parts or materials supplied to us.
The warranty period begins from the date of sale and shall not exceed one year from that date, or upon installation of the accessory or component onto an aircraft the warranty period shall not exceed 100 hours of operation time, whichever occurs first. Accessories and components must be returned within 30 days of the product failure date and must be in their original state as removed from the aircraft and must also be accompanied with the original maintenance release and a copy of the aircraft time and service log. Failure to include these documents may constitute a denial of warranty.
Accessories or components shall not have been disassembled, repaired, or altered in any way without prior authorization. Accessories or components shall not have been subjected to misuse, accident, alteration or improper installation. Normal wear of service items shall not be considered defects under this warranty. Any repairs, modifications or alterations made by the customer voids this warranty unless authorized in writing by us.
The duration of this warranty shall be for the unused portion of the original warranty period. Any replacement unit or repair of the original unit shall not establish a new warranty period.
All accessories or components must be installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended procedures and in conformity with applicable FAA regulations and procedures. At the time of installation, the installing individual or agency assumes all liabilities for the proper installation and operation of the unit.
THE WARRANTY CONTAINED HEREIN IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES OR PROMISES ARISING BY LAW OR OTHERWISE (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE), AND WHETHER OR NOT ARISING IN CONTRACT OR TORT. BY AGREEING TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM US, YOU WAIVE ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTIES, PROMISES OR REPRESENTATIONS. OUR WARRANTY MAY NOT BE MODIFIED IN ANYWAY EXCEPT BY A WRITTEN INSTRUMENT SIGNED BY ONE OF OUR OFFICERS.
The sole responsibility and liability of S & T Aircraft and your exclusive remedy under this claim arising out of, connected with, or resulting from, this sale or the performance or breach of any condition or warranty there under or from the delivery, or use of the product shall be the repair of, or replacement of, or credit for the defective accessory or component at our option. Our aggregate total liability shall in no event exceed the contract price of the individual product or services supplied to you.
In no event, whether as a breach of contract, warranty, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall we be liable for any special, consequential, incidental, or penal damages or expenses, including, but not limited to, loss of life or limb, the cost of removal and replacement of the accessory or component, loss of associated equipment, damage to associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute products, cost of troubleshooting, facilities, or services, cost of down time, or cost of claims of third parties for such damages or expenses.
S & T Aircraft does allow our customer to make design changes which are outside the service recommendations and design limitations of our products. All design changes made by us in the processing of your order will be approved by you. We are pleased to assist you with suggestions on design, construction and materials. However, we cannot and will not be liable or responsible for any loss, cost or damage resulting from or connected with the use of such suggestions. We shall not provide a warranty for any components or parts under such decisions as made by the customer.
Customer will be responsible for in-bound freight charges associated with accessories and components returned to S & T Aircraft for warranty evaluation. If warranty is granted, we will return accessory or component at our expense using UPS Ground transportation, or FedEx Ground transportation for service areas not covered by UPS, for US based customers. For international customers, DHL Express standard transit time shall be used for return shipments. Transportation other than aforementioned shall be paid by the Customer unless prior arrangements have been made. The customer assumes the risk of the returned unit until delivered to our dock and the unit will be subject to our receiving inspection.
The component for which a warranty is requested must have been purchased directly from us. Warranty requests for components purchased from our distributors must be requested by the distributor from which the component was purchased from. However, components may be shipped directly to us for warranty, but must still be requested by the distributor.
No warranty shall be provided for any accessories or components that are repaired, tested, modified, altered, and/or other than overhaul as denoted on the FAA Form 8130-3. No warranty shall be provided for non-aircraft parts, or aircraft parts which no FAA Form 8130-3 is provided. No warranty is provided on repair kits, service kits or overhaul kits sold, and these kits are non-returnable.

Amendment 1
S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. shall not warranty any gears installed into any 756 Series or 397 Series starters which were installed on any R-1340 Series engine. Warranty approval is at the sole discretion of S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc.
Amendment 2
S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. shall not provide any warranty, for any starter-generator provided by us which has PMA parts installed, unless installation of those parts are permitted as written in the maintenance manual. In the event that the warranty case is not a direct cause of the these parts, warranty shall be provided. Warranty approval is at the sole discretion of S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc.
Amendment 3
S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc. shall not provide any warranty, for fuel units which aviation grade fuel is not used. Warranty approval is at the sole discretion of S & T Aircraft Accessories, Inc.
